Hanson Nils
NILS HANSON
Born: 1952
Nils Hanson was born in Växjö and freelanced 1968–1973 for the newspapers Växjöbladet and Kronobergaren. In 1975 he graduated from Journalisthögskolan (college of journalism) in Gothenburg and was hired by the evening newspaper GT in the same year. In 1986 he became a labour market reporter and in 1989 head of entertainment at the newspaper Göteborgs-Posten (GP). In 1991 he joined the new group for investigative journalism at GP and was appointed head of the editorial staff at TV4 Gothenburg and later at TV4 West. In 2003 he started working as project leader for the very popular Swedish investigative TV show Uppdrag granskning, produced by Swedish Television (SVT). He worked as a reporter in 2010 and has now returned to his previous assignment as project leader. He won the Association for Investigative Journalism in Sweden (FGJ) award Guldspaden (the golden spade) in 1991 and 2010, the publicists’ association Västra Publicistklubben’s grand prize in 1998 and FGJ’s award Gyllene Dynamon (the golden dynamo) in 1999. He has authored the book Grävande journalistik (investigative journalism) and was appointed Visiting Professor at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication on 1 September 2010.

Hedin Ulla-Carin
ULLA-CARIN HEDIN
Born: 1945
Title of doctoral thesis: Social support at the workplace in the event of illness
Ulla-Carin Hedin graduated from Socialhögskolan in Gothenburg in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. After working as a social worker in the social services in Gothenburg, she was hired, she became a Lecturer at Socialhögskolan. She obtained her PhD from the University of Gothenburg in 1994, was hired as a Senior Lecturer in 1999 and became Docent in Social Work in 2001. Her recent research concerns exit processes from social problems and whistle blowing in public organisations. In October 2010 she was appointed Professor at the Department of Social Work.

Höjer Staffan
STAFFAN HÖJER
Born: 1953
Title of doctoral thesis: Knowledge, academication and professionalisation in social work
Staffan Höjer was born in Umeå and graduated from Socialhögskolan in Gothenburg in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. In 2000 he obtained his PhD in Social Work from the University of Gothenburg. Since then he has continued with research centred on knowledge, organisation and profession topics. In 2004 he became Docent (Reader). He has also worked as Visiting Researcher and Visiting Lecturer at the universities in Habana in Cuba, York in England and Arlington in USA. He is engaged in several international assignments and supervises, for example, doctoral students at Makerere University in Uganda. On 13 December 2010 he was appointed Professor of Social Work at the Department of Social Work.

Johansson Bengt
BENGT JOHANSSON
Born: 1964
Title of doctoral thesis: Nyheter mitt ibland oss
Bengt Johansson was born in Ulricehamn and graduated from the University of Gothenburg in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication Studies. He obtained his doctorate in 1998, and in 2006 he became Docent (Reader) in Journalism and Mass Communication. On 17 May 2010 he was appointed Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMG), where he also holds the position of Head of Department.

Wängerud Lena
LENA WÄNGNERUD
Born: 1964
Title of doctoral thesis: Politikens andra sida. Om kvinnorepresentation i Sveriges riksdag
Lena Wängnerud was born in Borås and obtained her doctorate in 1998 from the University of Gothenburg. She became Docent (Reader) in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg in 2003 and at the University of Helsinki in 2008. In 2009–2010 she was a Visiting Researcher at Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science, University of California, Berkeley, USA. On 17 May 2010 she was appointed Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science.
