Jubileumsfonden was set up in connection with the university’s centennial anniversary in 1991 through gifts from foundations, academies, companies and private individuals.

Four research scholarships of 50,000 kronor each to facilitate research visits at other European educational institutions for younger researchers (with a doctoral degree). When making the selection, particular regard is paid to whether the stay can entail further contacts and research collaboration with University of Gothenburg.
A scholarship of 20,000 kronor for research focussed on France and French literature. Priority is given to research that is carried out in France.
A scholarship of 20,000 kronor for research within the mercantile area, such as trade, industry and transport issues.
Two scholarships of 50,000 kronor each to facilitate further studies at a university outside Sweden. The applicant must have passed a first degree.
Scholarships totaling SEK 150 000 for study trips for employees within support operations for education and research, in other words, technical and administrative staff, librarians etc. Applications shall relate to expenses for travel, board and lodging etc., but not salary. Grants are not normally awarded for participation in congresses or conferences.
NB! Only people associated with the University of Gothenburg can apply for grants from Jubileumsfonden.
