Travel grants from Knut and Alice Wallenbergs foundation

University of Gothenburg annually distributes funds from Knut and Alice Wallenbergs foundation for allocation as travel grants for researchers and research students.

The funds must primarily be used as grants for trips which best further personal scientific exchange to the benefit of Swedish research.

Grants will primarily be awarded to younger researchers, and the Foundation would prefer to see that the amount allocated in each particular case covers at the least a substantial part of the travel costs. (In this context younger researchers can be considered partly as such university lecturers/- researchers, who carry out research in or alongside of their university post, which can be considered as a recruitment service for senior positions (e.g. professorship, senior lectureship and equivalent) partly postgraduate students who are working on their thesis.)
In exceptional cases funds can be used to finance visits by foreign visiting researchers.
